Your family's information
Last updated October 26, 2026
Homeroom is for parents. We keep what you share private to the people you choose, we never sell it, and we don't show ads or use tracking tools.
What we keep
- You: your name, family name, and the email or phone number you sign in with.
- Your children: first names, grades, and birthdays, if you add them. You enter these as their parent; children don't use Homeroom.
- Your co-op: plans, RSVPs, what you're bringing, rides, messages, posts, and photos you share with your group.
- Your homeschool: courses, lessons, hours, scores, books, and photos of your children's work.
- Your purchase: Stripe handles payment. We see that you bought the course, never your card number.
- Your phone: a notification address so we can send alerts you've turned on, and a saved copy of your dashboards on the phone so it works without signal. Signing out deletes the saved copy.
Who sees it
- People in your co-op see your name, your children's names and birthdays, your RSVPs, and what you post there.
- Your homeschool is private to you and anyone you share it with (for example, your spouse).
- Co-op leaders see messages someone reports, so they can keep the group kind.
- We look at your information only to keep Homeroom working, to answer you when you write, or to act on a report.
Services we use
These companies store or send information for us and only for this purpose: Supabase (where everything is stored), Stripe (payments), Netlify (the website), Mux (course videos), Resend (email), Twilio (sign-in codes by text), and Apple (notifications to your phone).
Deleting your information
You can delete your account in the app under Settings. That removes your profile, your children's details, your homeschool records and photos, and your messages. A co-op owner first hands the co-op to a co-leader or deletes it. You can also write to us and we'll do it for you.
Children
Homeroom is used by parents, not children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children directly. If you think a child has signed up, write to us and we'll remove the account.
